Formed in 2016 as a volunteer organization to empower parents to be fundamental and active participants in their children’s education, LAPPS has grown from two chapters in Atlanta to six in three years. LAPPS members successfully advocated for the first language equity policy for a school district (APS) in Georgia and co-authored a “State of Our District” report with GeorgiaCAN.
Join our growing collective of parents, educators, community leaders, and philanthropists invested in Atlanta public school education. Together, we will transform this city into a place where every student in every community has access to a great K-12 public education.
