Voter Mobilization

Why Your Vote Matters for Education

Voting is a critical way to be civically engaged and help shape the future of education in Atlanta. The upcoming general elections allow you to let your voice be heard!

Georgia’s Nov. 8 general election will decide races for the U.S. Senate and House, state Senate and House, governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state and other state executive offices—as well as several state high courts.

Make sure you are registered to vote so you can make your voice heard! The deadline to register for this election is Oct. 10. If you’re not registered by that date, you won’t be able to vote on Nov. 8.

What is Voter Mobilization?

Voting is incredibly important, especially when it comes to the education of future generations. Voter mobilization is the process of encouraging and getting citizens to vote. Our goal is to make sure that all are registered to vote, and that they have the information they need to make the most educated decision possible. redefinED atlanta wants to make sure that you are properly registered for voting, well-educated when it comes to vote, and that you feel empowered to actually vote.

Importance of Voter Mobilization

The right to vote is a freedom that is often passed up on by a lot of Americans, even though it greatly impacts future generations, and even the education of kids everywhere in Georgia. Overall voting rates have fallen to an all-time low in recent years, while some American citizens are still without voting rights. Others also face voting restrictions or uncessary challenges that can prevent them from exercising their right to vote. Taking action and voting is more important than ever.
