Organizational Background

Established in 2016, redefinED atlanta’s vision is to transform Atlanta into a place where every student in every community receives a great K-12 public education. We accomplish this work by engaging communities, advocating for equity, and funding critical work to drive systemic level improvement in K-12 public education for students and families.

Now in our eighth year of operation, with a solid foundation of deep funding partnerships, a diverse and engaged board, and an entrepreneurial team, redefinED atlanta is ready to chart the course for years ahead anchored in our commitment to racial equity and inclusion. We will support the growth of community power and influence through the development of a pipeline of K-12 public education advocates and investment in community-generated solutions.
