Our October newsletter is here! We’re seeking Clayton County community members for a nine-member grant advisory council to help drive equity in K-12 education. Council members will inform grant investments, deepen their education knowledge, and network with other leaders. 

Sub-stories include:

• Spotlight On Literacy: Join a community conversation on early literacy on Oct. 24, 2024, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Love Auditorium, featuring key local voices.
• Math Milestones Results: The 2023-24 Georgia Milestones math results show mixed growth, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to support student recovery post-pandemic.
• A City Changing Speaker Series: This series fosters discussions on educational opportunities and challenges in Atlanta, featuring diverse local and national experts.
• Attendance Awareness Month: September emphasized the importance of regular attendance for student success, addressing absenteeism in Atlanta schools.
• Georgia Decides Voter Guide: Stay informed for the election season with a nonpartisan voter guide that includes key dates and ballot tools.
• Get Involved in APS & Clayton County: Learn about local school board meetings and engage with the community to support positive outcomes for students in Atlanta and Clayton County.
