Why Does Voting Early Matter?

When Atlanta learns, Atlanta rises — and that starts with showing up to vote.

The Atlanta Board of Education decides how we invest in our children’s education, our neighborhoods, and our city’s future. The majority of voters in Atlanta vote early because it gives us the flexibility to make our voice heard and ensures our students have the opportunities they deserve.

What's at Stake?

The APS Board manages a $1.9 billion budget that affects every classroom and community.

They decide how we:

  • Strengthen literacy and student success
  • Support and retain great teachers
  • Create safe, welcoming schools and communities
  • Invest in facilities and community growth

This election includes Districts 2, 4, 6, and At-Large Seat 8 — representing families across the city.

Who is eligible to vote?

  • U.S. citizens who are legal residents of their county and are at least 18 years old by Election Day
  • Those not currently serving a felony sentence for a crime involving moral turpitude
  • Those not declared mentally incompetent by a judge

If you have a Georgia driver’s license or state ID, you can register online.
