She shapes and executes an operational vision that reflects the organization’s mission and values, fostering a workplace that is people-centered and purpose-driven. Her approach integrates thoughtful planning, data-informed decision-making, and systems-level thinking to empower the team to work with clarity and confidence in pursuit of educational equity and community impact. Prior, Tyler worked in nonprofit event planning, helping mission-driven organizations amplify their reach through strategic fundraising and event management. She later transitioned into the education sector, beginning her journey in school-based operations and eventually serving as Director of School Operations at Achievement First East Brooklyn High School. She brings a deep commitment to equity, a passion for operational excellence, and a proven track record of building strong teams and adaptable systems that center the needs and experiences of students, staff, and families.

Emily Castillo León is the Vice President of Schools and Talent at RedefinED Atlanta, where she leads the organization’s strategy to grow and strengthen high-quality public school options across Metro Atlanta. In this role, she drives the launch and expansion of new schools, supports school and district leaders in achieving strong outcomes, and aligns investments to ensure strong ecosystem conditions to advance trajectory-changing outcomes for students. Her work centers on fostering collaboration, building capacity, and aligning resources to ensure all students—particularly those in historically underserved communities—have access to excellent education. Before joining RedefinED Atlanta, Emily founded and led Ethos Classical as its inaugural Head of School, growing it from concept to a thriving K-8 charter school serving over 800 scholars in southwest Atlanta. She previously led high-performing teams at KIPP Nashville Collegiate High School, where students achieved record-breaking assessment results, and began her career as a high school English teacher in North Carolina through Teach For America.

Hans Grohs is the Director of Schools and Talent at RedefinED Atlanta, where he supports school and talent strategic initiatives by aligning investments, values, and community voice. His work is grounded in a commitment to educational innovation and equity across systems. Hans began his career as a bilingual teacher in Houston through Teach For America, which launched his passion for rethinking education through policy, business, and practice. He later worked as an Associate Consultant at Public Impact, helping districts redesign school models to maximize student outcomes. He has also held summer fellowships with Education Pioneers and NC IDEA, where he supported K-12 leadership evaluation and early-stage entrepreneurship, and served as a non-voting board member with Communities In Schools of Durham.

Dr. Lawrence Harris serves as Executive Fellow for DC360, a place-based initiative working to improve outcomes for families and students in Atlanta’s historic Douglass Cluster. His leadership is helping to drive systemic change at the intersection of education, policy, and community empowerment. Previously, Dr. Harris was Chief Impact Officer for KIPP Atlanta Schools, leading fundraising, advocacy, family engagement, and strategic partnerships to expand opportunities for thousands of students. He also served as Chief of Community Engagement and Strategy for the Clarke County School District and as CEO of the Athens Community Career Academy, where he tripled enrollment and built college and career pathways for high school students. A recognized changemaker, Dr. Harris has been honored as a UGA “40 Under 40” and one of Athens’ inaugural “Community Gamechangers.”

Aaché Harrison is the Associate Director of Advancement at RedefinED Atlanta, where she cultivates a strong pipeline of education champions to activate around the organization’s mission to drive equity, remove systemic barriers, and expand access to high-quality public school options. Aaché brings a deep commitment to social impact and a strategic, human-centered approach to engagement. Known for her ability to manage complex projects with precision and creativity, she has spent her career advancing initiatives that support historically marginalized communities and create lasting change.

Meiling Jabbaar is the Engagement Manager at RedefinED Atlanta, where she supports efforts to empower communities and advance systemic change in education through leading community engagement programming and grant initiatives. She brings a deep commitment to equity and social justice, grounded in her lived experience and passion for serving Black and Brown communities. Meiling began her career at a New York City nonprofit that partnered with Title I schools to end summer learning loss, coordinating academic programs and later managing recruitment for teaching fellows. Her love for working directly with students led her to teach English in Spain and later serve as a special education teacher in Boston. Across her roles, she has remained focused on expanding access to quality educational opportunities and uplifting community voices so students can reach their full potential.

Dariun Maxwell is the Program and Operations Manager at RedefinED Atlanta, where he supports program coordination and internal operations to ensure the organization runs efficiently. His work helps clear the way for the RedefinED’s relentless pursuit of high-quality schools and opportunities. He began his career as a middle school special education teacher in Williamson County Schools in Tennessee, and later served in the same role within Marietta City Schools. Before joining RedefinED Atlanta, he worked as an estimator for DH Pace Company, gaining experience in managing logistics and project details.

Norledia Moody is the Associate Vice President of Community at RedefinED Atlanta, where she leads the organization’s community engagement and organizing strategy with a focus on outcomes, equity, and mission alignment. She began her career as an elementary school educator in Atlanta Public Schools through Teach For America. Since then, she has held leadership roles at The CAFE Group, Teach For America, and OneGoal-Metro Atlanta, where she advanced equity and leadership development. Known for her ability to bridge strategy and empathy, Norledia embodies a commitment to equity and has an ability to mobilize stakeholders across sectors to drive sustainable impact.

Angira Sceusi is the Executive Director of RedefinED Atlanta, where she leads the organization’s mission to ensure every student in Metro Atlanta has access to a high-quality public education—no matter where they live or learn. In this role, she sets the strategic vision, oversees partnerships and grantmaking, and drives initiatives that strengthen public schools, develop exceptional school-level talent, and support transformational leadership. Her work focuses on advancing scalable solutions and policy shifts that dismantle systemic barriers to student success. Before joining RedefinED Atlanta as a founding staff member, Angira served as Director of Finance and Director of Talent Initiatives at YES Prep Public Schools in Houston. She was previously a high school math and computer science teacher in the Houston Independent School District, where she earned a United States Congressional Recognition for her contributions to STEM education. Angira began her career as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Tiffany Scott is the Associate Vice President of Development at RedefinED Atlanta, where she leads fundraising strategies and donor engagement efforts that drive collective investment in educational innovation and equity. She brings over a decade of experience in philanthropy and fund development, with a strong commitment to creating lasting impact in the Metro Atlanta community. Prior, Tiffany served as the founding Senior Director of Development at OneGoal-Metro Atlanta, where she helped drive revenue growth in a new market. Her background also includes roles as a planning analyst at ANN Taylor INC and Ross Stores, followed by a transition into the nonprofit sector as Manager of Donor Cultivation at City of Refuge. Across roles, she has remained passionate about building relationships that amplify community causes and maximize collective impact.

Aarti Sharma is the Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at RedefinED Atlanta, where she works to create equitable systems-level change supporting quality school options for all students by fostering deep collaboration between partners. In her role, Aarti oversees the community and policy grant portfolios. She brings deep expertise in education policy and law, leveraging that knowledge to advance charter school development and public education innovation across Georgia. Before joining RedefinED Atlanta, she served as an executive director and a leader on political campaigns. She also served as the Vice President of New School Development at the Georgia Charter Schools Association, where she led the state’s only charter school incubator program. She previously directed the District Flexibility and Charter Schools Division at the Georgia Department of Education, supporting more than 100 charter schools statewide. She started her career as a teacher and juvenile public defender.

Mary-Kate Starkel is the Vice President & Chief of Staff at RedefinED Atlanta, where she leads advancement work and drives cross-functional coordination, internal strategy, and organizational alignment to ensure the RedefinED operates with efficiency and focus. She brings 20 years of experience in nonprofit program management and resource development. Prior to RedefinED, she served as Associate Director at Horizons Atlanta, a summer learning program serving more than 1,000 students across the region. Her career has consistently focused on supporting educational and youth-serving organizations in the Atlanta area.

Denesha Thompson Pressey is the Director of Public Engagement and Advocacy at RedefinED Atlanta, where she leads strategies that elevate community voice and strengthen public advocacy for education access in Metro Atlanta. Her work is rooted in a belief that all students can thrive in environments that affirm their culture and identity, encourage curiosity, and foster innovation. Denesha worked with KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, where she led the implementation of social-emotional learning curricula, supported differentiated behavior planning, and coached educators on restorative justice practices. She has also been recognized for her leadership in social justice, including her work as Co-Founder of Speak Up Lace Em Up and through fellowships with New Leaders Council and the KIPP Emerging Leaders Program.

Trea is the Operations Coordinator at RedefinED Atlanta, where she leads initiatives that connect families, schools, and communities to drive meaningful transformation. She began her journey in educational equity with Teach For America in Miami-Dade, where she taught and led with purpose. After relocating to Atlanta, she continued this work at KIPP Strive Academy, building her expertise in student advocacy and systems-level change. Most recently, she served at Inspiredu, helping families across Georgia gain digital literacy skills and access to refurbished technology. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to access, advocacy, and amplifying underrepresented voices.
