A nonprofit focused on public education has awarded three one-year grants of $50,000 to fund programming that will support parent advocacy, education, and engagement for families in Atlanta Public Schools.

RedefinED Atlanta, which works with communities, promotes equity, and provides funding for initiatives aimed at improving K-12 public education, partnered with its Atlanta Reimagining and Innovating for Schools Everywhere (A.R.I.S.E.) fellows to provide the grants.

Designed to improve parent advocacy and education in the Atlanta Public Schools school system, the A.R.I.S.E. Parent Power Grant funding supports programs that empower families with the tools, knowledge, and confidence “to advocate for their children’s education and drive meaningful change in their communities,” according to a news release.
