Vote in the Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education Election Runoff

Early Voting: Saturday, November 22–Wednesday, November 26, 2025
Election Day: Tuesday, December 2, 2025

Why Runoff Voting Matters

When Atlanta learns, Atlanta rises — and that starts with showing up to vote.

Runoff voting is essential. Typically voting rates take a sharp downturn in a runoff, meaning that an election can be determined by a few hundred people.

Your vote counts now more than ever.

What's at Stake?

The APS Board of Education decides how we invest in our children’s education, our neighborhoods, and our city’s future. They manage a $1.9 billion budget that affects every classroom and community.

They decide how we:

  • Strengthen literacy and student success
  • Support and retain great teachers
  • Create safe, welcoming schools and communities
  • Invest in facilities and community growth

This runoff includes Districts 2, 6, and At-Large Seat 8, which represents families across the city.

Who Can Vote

You have the power to shape Atlanta’s future! You can vote if you are:

  • A U.S. citizen and legal resident of your county
  • At least 18 years old by Election Day
  • Not currently serving a felony sentence for a crime involving moral turpitude
  • Not declared mentally incompetent by a judge

Your vote helps ensure that every student, in every community, can thrive.

Make Your Plan to Vote Early

The majority of Atlanta voters vote early because it gives us the flexibility to make our voice heard and ensures our students get the opportunities they deserve.
