redefinED atlanta is a nonprofit that engages communities and advocates that wants to drive systemic improvement in K-12 public education for students and families. We listen and learn from our partners and work alongside them to help students develop a strong academic foundation, self-determination, and a sense of well-being. Ultimately, we know a quality education can provide students with the knowledge and tools to pursue their passions, realize their full potential and better their community and society.
The Atlanta Schools Data Project will soft launch in three phases:
Phase 1 – Launch of the Survey and Focus Groups
To support redefinED atlanta in building better communities, track metrics that matter and improve Atlanta’s public schools, we’re asking passionate community advocates who access the Atlanta Schools Data Project landing page to provide feedback in a short survey about the site’s functionality and ways we can improve to create an overall better user experience. In addition we will hold four focus groups from February through March to collect qualitative feedback.
Phase 2 – Analyze the Data and Determine What’s Feasible
During this phase, we will do an internal analysis on the qualitative data captured via survey and focus groups to determine which updates on the site are most helpful for user experience.
Phase 3 – Engage with Phase 1 Respondents to Showcase Updates to the Site
At the end of the soft launch, we will reconvene with our respondents from the focus groups to highlight the updates that will improve: end-user experience; access to the data; learn how schools operate and how communities can take action.
